Strangford Lough is the larget sea lough in the British Isles covering an area of 150 sq km
Its name is derived from the Norse meaning 'Strong Fjord', referring to the dramatic currents in the narrows which are some of the fastest in the world.
The National Trust manage over 4000 hectares of coast and countryside, just over a quarter of the total area.
